Just by coincidence, during my last visit to Helsinki, I ran into Ari Kovero, a local artist who keeps a studio at the edge of the city. With traditional material such as oil and acrylic, to the use of broken light bulbs and cloth, Ari’s work takes on a unique character, with expressions of his thoughts on various topics.
Having lived in various cities, mostly in Europe, our discussion continued over coffee when I discovered that Ari had also lived in Columbus as an exchange student from 1982-1983.
Since Ari is typically asks about what’s going on in Columbus, we need only find a gallery that will showcase his work, and bring him back for a visit.

Ari is brilliant!
