We love Columbus. There are places to go, people to meet and with so much going on, we wanted to make sure that we had a chance to look in at some of the empty spaces not already being addressed.

I thought you might be interested in the UDO just passed by Upper Arlington’s city council. I’m a resident there and although I can think of about a billion other things I’d like to see as part of the UDO I’m pretty happy with how it came out. If you’d like to read a bit about it check out this:

Hi Jeff,
I would like to invite you to a special VIP event for central Ohio bloggers and podcasters who cover Columbus news and happenings. The event is next Thursday, 7/31 at 6 p.m. at Experience Columbus in the Arena District (277 W. Nationwide Blvd, Suite 125).
We’ll have local snacks (Jeni’s ice cream, Brownie Points), cool new Columbus t-shirts from Skreened for everyone who attends, and you’ll get a sneak preview of the new Experience Columbus marketing and social media campaign which will be used to promote Columbus nationally. We’ll have wifi on site and people are welcome to live-blog, podcast, take pics and anything else they’d like. Please come at 5:30 p.m. if you’d like a tour of the Experience Columbus visitor center beforehand. We’ll have you on your way by 6:30 p.m. unless you’d like to stay longer to network.
Traditional Columbus media will not be notified about the new Experience Columbus campaign until after this blogging event, so you will truly be among the first to see the new ads, viral videos and Web site. As an influential Columbus blogger, I wanted to let you know about an exciting, Emmy-award winning wildlife biologist coming to Columbus to speak at Ohio Dominican University in October.
Jeff Corwin, host of “The Jeff Corwin Experience” on Animal Planet, will be the featured speaker at ODU’s Presidential Lecture Series at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009 at the Aladdin Shrine Center – 3850 Stelzer Road, Columbus, Ohio 43219. Jeff will be bringing with him, a host of reptiles and snakes, and will be interacting with members of the audience.
