This year marks the 8th annual Merion Village Garden Tour. Scheduled for Sunday July 8th, the garden tour is testament to the reemergence of this Columbus neighborhood.

Formerly home to the Moeller family farm, the German Village shooting club and the orchards of the Hanford family, Merion Village became a “street car suburb” during the mid 19-teens. Like many others, the neighborhood went through a period of decline during the ‘70’s and ‘80’s.

With a solid housing stock and ease of accessibility Merion Village improves year after year and has become the fastest appreciating real-estate area in Columbus. Home to grocers, pharmacies, restaurants and bars, a hardware store and Moeller Park, Merion Village is also within walking distance to the delights of German Village. Served by COTA routes 4, 8 and 16, Merion Village is just five minutes from downtown by bus.

Open to the public and free of charge, visitors can pick up their tour package at the MVA Information Center, 1330 South Fourth Street, or downloaded it in advance.
